Do I need new tests before booking?
Bring the reports you already have. Ask the care team whether anything is required before your visit; the clinician will advise additional tests when needed.
Is this only for people taking insulin?
No. A diabetes review can be relevant to people using different treatments. The clinical team can help arrange the appropriate appointment.
Are all complication tests included?
Do not assume every test is included. Screening needs, availability, charges and any specialist appointments should be confirmed for your individual visit.
What if I have an urgent problem?
This routine review is not an emergency service. Seek urgent in-person care for severe symptoms, confusion, loss of consciousness, breathing difficulty or a rapidly worsening foot problem. Do not wait for an appointment message.
